When most local people worn out their Sunday catching up on splashing and laundry in the rolls at the sea, over six-hundred people stooped across poker tables at Daytona Beach Kennel Club trying to grab thousands of dollars in prizes and cash. The poker players were present for the 4th annual Deep Stack Charity Classic, which is a fundraiser for Congregation B’Nai Torah, Ormond Beach and many local charities the tabernacle supports.

But it was no cheap small town event. The prize kitty topped $ 60,000, and added a 1st-place award of around $ 11,000 which added a $ 5,000 seat at a poker tournament in Las Vegas in July which paid out 2 million dollar in winnings previous year.

A chief organizer told that it is a great poker event which takes place to benefit charity. After the packs of people inside Kennel Club fell into the seats inside the room for poker playing, faces went unplayful and the primary sound was the chink of chips as cards slipped back and forth on green mat up covering the table tops.

By Sunday night, poker players at final table who came through the play rounds which began some twelve hours before each got trips for them as well as a guest to July Las Vegas championship – Venetian Deep Stack Extravaganza.
